Dominique Nelson
Pastor, Marrero Seventh-day Adventist Church
Pastor Dominique Nelson assumed the role of pastor at the Marrero Seventh-day Adventist Church on August 19, 2023. Pastor Nelson was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and later raised in Queens, New York.
He is married to his wife of six years, Nathalie and is the proud father of three
sons, Uriah, Jairus and his unborn son. In 2015, he graduated with a degree in
Theology from Ouachita Hills College in Amity, Arkansas.
Dominique's journey of faith began in 2002 when he surrendered his life to the
Lord during an evangelistic crusade. Despite being born into a non-Christian
household, he always harbored a deep reverence for God. Though he
occasionally found himself in trouble, his faith remained steadfast, until he made
a full surrender to Jesus in 2008, during his grieving of the loss of his Nephew,
when he was reminded of the shortness of life.
Before answering the call to pastoral ministry, Dominique served in various
capacities within the church community. He was an assistant to the Sabbath
School superintendent, sabbath school teacher, a youth leader, a literature
evangelism leader and instructor, Bible worker, evangelism coordinator, and
held positions as a deacon and first elder.
Today, Pastor Nelson passionately serves as a pastor, guiding and inspiring
others on their spiritual journeys, drawing from his own experiences and
commitment to God.
The Marrero church welcomes Pastor Nelson and his family to our church
ministry!
